I love the Harry Potter books and films, but this and The Lord of The Ring are the only "fantastic" works that I obsess about.

I really like a lot of authors, such as Daniel Pennac, John Steinbeck, Emile Zola, John Irving, Alexandre Dumas, Richard Russo and many others :)
