About Me

Hi there,

My name is Arsalie and I live in Heidelberg. I was born in Paris and grew up in Baden-Württemberg, Germany where I moved several times. My mother is French and my father is German, which makes me both!

I am an open-minded and fun person who likes to try new stuff, even if I like my habits, but I quickly make new ones! I love sports and am always happy to try different activities. Loved climbing, judo, wild water rafting, hiking, horse riding, snowboarding, lazertag.... Honestly I will try anything new.
I enjoy going out, dance and have a good time as much as I like a calm even with a glass of wine watching a movie or just chatting on the balcony, it really depends on my mood.
I'm a big fan of amusement parks and especially roller coasters!
Beside my action loving side, I'm a very organized person, I like it clean and tidy and if I have the time I enjoy cooking, partiularly with friends. And last but not least I love my studies! I'm a medical student and I think I am really going to do what I love for a living.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After my exam in april I want to go on a roadtrip with my boyfriend Benjamin in California and Nevada for a month and a friend of mine told me about her Couchsurfing experiences.
I thought it was a really great idea to be able to meet knew people, to benefit from their experience and see amazing local things we would never see as simple tourists. Also being able to practice our english and listen to interesting storys sounds amazing (I already read so many profiles about so many interesting people which makes me very excited to meet them and talk to them!).
We really hope to have an amazing time and although share our traveling experiences and german and french customs with other people and I also imagine that we will welcome travelers at our place in the future so that they can visit our beautiful Heidelberg (and/or Frankfurt).

Interests

Sports everything new! I'm doing judo since I'm 9 years old.
Reading all kind of books, but most of all fantasy I guess.
Singing karaoke (even if I'm not that good).
Practicing medicine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books and Movies: Harry Potter
Even if I'm 25 years old I still love those books and movies so much, I grew up with them and they have been such an important part of my childhood that I will never be able to not be crazy about the wizarding world!
Of course I read other books, I especially enjoy books from Jodie Picoult and am very open minded to new suggestions.
