About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be able to face my fears and push my limits.
ABOUT ME
Quirky, weird and awkward. And that all adds up to fun! Love meeting new people and learn about their daily life or culture.
I've been traveling alone for over a month now and I talk to locals everyday! That's because I mostly live with them either during volunteering/couchsurfing. (You can read about my views on CS below)
It's an amazing experience and I'm addicted to meeting new people and it helps me grow as a person.
PHILOSOPHY
Just start. Start where you are. Start with doubt. Start with pain. Start with fear. Start with your hands shaking. Start with your voice trembling but start. Start and don't stop. Start where you are, with what you have. Just start.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I first heard of couchsurfing in an article that suggests the best way to travel the world and so far, yes it's been awesome! Meeting new people has been my everyday life now and most of the stories inspire me and teach me to be a better person.
I understand how most hosts will feel that the surfers are taking advantage of free stays. In my opinion, couchsurfing is a great way to make friends with locals/a lot of people and that's why when I request to stay, it can be pretty last minute because I don't plan my "stay" at your place but rather I want to meet new people wherever I go. I personalize my messages and I read your profiles. Couchsurfing shouldn't be abused at all and I hope we preserve the CS culture. I previously have had bad experiences with CS and I recently have nothing but incredible moments with CS!
Let's continue to CouchSurf and create more stories both host and surfer can gain!
Interests
Making videos. Working out. Body combat. Singing. Running. Swimming. Reading. Writing. Talking to strangers. Taekwondo. Capoeira. Watching American TV shows/any movies while eating chips. (Just making excuse for eating chips)
Basically those are my hobbies. I enjoy sharing stories with people and in turn I get inspired by theirs.
Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
Sara bareilles. Colbie caillat. Troye Sivan. Lana del rey. Halsey. James Bay. Hayley Kiyoko (Basically indie!)
MOVIES
I'm a fan of both musicals and horror movies. The last five years. Rent. Pitch Perfect. Conjuring. Insidious. Dead silence. Babadook. Silence of the Lambs trilogy. Wild. etc
BOOKS
Nicholas Sparks. Jodi Picoult. *these are authors*
The Chinese Cinderella. Child 44. The Guardian. Lone wolf. *books I read more than once*
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bungeed jump in Korea but didn't take a picture of it.
Climbed the highest mountain in SE Asia (Mount Kinabalu) but took crappy pictures of it.
Hence now I take more videos whenever I get a chance or else I have nothing to show for, and I'll forget how it feels/looks like.
Hitchhiked from Kyoto to Tokyo! Idk if it's considered amazing but, yay!
Teach, Learn, Share
I used to teach BodyCombat (mixed martial art inspired workout) for nearly 4 years. So maybe we can sweat a lil, if you want :)
I can share my travel stories and my past experiences in different sports as I was growing up.
And of course the Malaysian culture. There's just too much because no doubt it's the most unique country in my opinion. (Or I just haven't traveled enough!)
I want to learn about your culture and stories. That's all I want!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My sarcastic humour aside, I can share my travel stories and Malaysian culture! Would love to know yours too :)
I don't have much but I put every single person I meet in the place they deserve to be. In my heart. And probably in my videos so I'll recognize you in 20 years down the road!
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam
