About Me
My home is full for the whole month of Mar. Sorry I can't help. Looks like spring break is a huge travel time.
I've been living in the Virgin Islands for just over 7 years. Owned two scuba stores and travel agency in Plano and Frisco Texas. And then the fall of 2007 came, and a failing economy. Things became worse in all of 2008 so I got rid of EVERYTHING and ran away. My girlfriend of 9 years became tired of island life and moved back to Texas. It takes something special to live in paradise. Many don't last long. Not sure why I'm still here but I am, for now. I have a awesome dog that came here from Texas. He's part Texas Red Fox and Border Collie. He does not do well around men. Extremely protective of his home, car and me. We stay pretty active with the beach, swimming, kayaking and driving.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Thought it would be an interesting adventure. Have always had the attitude to at least try new things. A friend of mine, also a Scuba Instructor told me about couch surfing. We were actually talking about a girl and her unique sandal business, how well she was doing with her unique sandals. Then he mentioned that he shared his couch with the girl and her boyfriend. He split and now she is doing well as a entrepreneur.
Couldn't believe it at first so I checked out the website.
Interests
Sun, Sand and Sea is about it. Buddy and I like to beach it. He loves swimming and hiking. Once a month we go with a Kayaking business that does this Paddle with the Pooches thing. Usually there are about a dozen or more humans with just as many dogs. We paddle out to a deserted Cay where the dogs get to frolic. It's a great time for everyone. Otherwise I'm addicted to my kindle, cigars and rum.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm stuck with the oldies. Some of the new stuff is good. Adele makes me cry. I stay away from rap like it was the plaque.
Action adventure are my favorite movies. The books on my kindle are also mostly action adventure, with some real life thrown in.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learned how to fly airplanes to get over my fear of heights. It didn't work. I am a licensed private pilot, and love to fly but the fear of heights has never ceased. Flying while hear has been a challenge, like so many other things. Just met a friend who may help me get that going again.
Teach, Learn, Share
Not sure what they want here. Will need to get back to this. If they're asking about living accommodations, I live on top of a mountain and have a spectacular view and incredible breeze. It's a one bedroom condo with kitchen, bathroom and living room. The couch is one of those turns into a bed thing. On my deck I have a nice hammock that came from the Honduras on one of my scuba adventures.
