About Me
Hi! I'm a Brazilian writer and copywriter who likes to travel but has no means to do it now, so "if Muhammad won't go to the mountain, then the mountain shall go to Muhammad", or something like that.
It will be a pleasure to get to know your language, your culture, and yourself. In exchange, let me show you Florianópolis and help you with Portuguese basics while you stay here. I have a few dictionaries in my library and I can give you a map of the area. Plus, I have outgoing friends who like to show our city to visitors.
Of course I need to trust you as much as you need to trust me. I'm very cautious and, because of it, I prefer to lay out everything beforehand. So be my guest to ask anything you want to know about me (spoiler alert: I'm vegetarian); I'll be inquiring a lot too.
p.s.: sorry to compare you to a mountain. call it "poetic license" =)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A friend of mine is currently receiving couchsurfers and told me it was a great experience. So I thought it was worth a try... After all, I'm very curious about other cultures and other languages.
Interests
Anything related to languages and literature. Also, I love music! And movies! Travels! Cooking! Wine! Craft beers! Advertising! So many things!
Music, Movies, and Books
That's tough! Russian literature, english poetry, danish painting, The Allman Brothers Band, Led Zeppelin, Dostoievsky, Tchekhov, Miles Davis, Hitchcock, Kubrick, Tarkovsky, High Fidelity, Vinícius de Moraes, Bong Joon-ho, Julio Cortázar, Schopenhauer...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 18 I traveled all around South America during 8 months.
Then, a few years later, I published my first novel about this experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
Tell me about your country, your culture. Teach me a few words, your typical dance, how to cook a traditional dish (if there's one vegetarian). I'll do my best for you too.
