I live in Montevideo , with my family. Nowadays I love tranquil places, having lived in Mexico City for many years, I prefer greener settings. However from time to time I do miss the vibrant energy of a large city...and then I have to hop on a boat and cross the river to Buenos Aires.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is the one thing I enjoy most.

For me the joy comes not from the pretty picture, nor "the most visit list", but rather from discovering how diverse our planet is, in it's geography and It's people. When I travel I open up to these diversity which I find brings me new knowledge about myself.

Couch surfing gives the opportunity of making of each trip an even better experience, bringing together like minded people and the opportunity to make new friends.

Interests

Food, is on top of my list.
I enjoy cooking for my self or friends, as much as I enjoy eating!
I'm pretty daring when it comes food, my rule of thumb is : If it's edible = try it.

I practice yoga, enjoy taking long walks and occasionally swimming.

Having studied design I have interest in most visual outputs : drawing, photography, cinema.

But what I'm really passionate about is crafts, mainly traditional textiles and embroideries. I've always wanted to work on the subject, it's on my bucket list.

Music, Movies, and Books

CINEMA
I'm a big cinema fan , I enjoy not only a good plot but also the technical and creative work that completes it , as costumes, art (set decoration) and cinematography. So I really like: Wes Anderson, Tarantino, Guillermo del Toro, Woody Allen and Jean Pierre jennet.

MUSIC
I tend to be very open regarding my musical choices.
Though I don't consider myself a "musical " person , since I quite enjoy silence, on my playlists you can king a wide assortment of artists , from Johnny Cash, all the way to Lila Downs, along side the likes of Pearl Jam, Tribalistas, The Strokes, Florence & The machine, Los Tigres del Norte, Kevin Johanssen, some tango and some Murgas.

BOOKS

When it comes to daily reading I usually read a lot of online magazines or long editorials, that's the way I like to keep up dated.

When on vacations or maybe weekends, I also enjoy novels.
As with music, I'm always open to friends suggestions and willing to discover new authors. Some of my favorite reads are Garcia Marquez, Murakami, Amos Oz, and Jorge Ibargüengoitia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For my 36 th birthday I went on a road trip with three friends. We drove for a week around Baja California Sur, through the Cancer Tropic and from the Pacific to Cortez Sea. The high point was in my birthday, when we took to snorkeling in the sea, with some sea lions and a shoal of tuna like fish. As we followed the shoal around for a while, some pilot whales started approaching (looking for food!) and we had to swim back very fast to the boat and get on board. Best birthday ever!!
