I am a 57 year old male who is taking the time to explore the world. I have worked in information technology for the past 20 years and missed a lot of the world around me. So it is time for me to start exploring. When I was younger I worked in Europe and the Middle East, but ended up getting married and raising a family.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet people in the areas that I am traveling who know the area. I often host people who are traveling in my area but am just starting to explore the possibilities of doing the same myself.

While I have hosted people who are referred by friends, I will be hosting people on Couchsurfing when I return from my trip, and maybe people I meet along the way.

Interests

I am an avid outdoors person who also loves animals. I hike, ski, bike, canoe, swim and surf when I have the opportunity.

I have four rescue dogs and work with dog rescues to place dogs that have been abandoned or mistreated. My favorite breed is Catahula Leopard dogs. While bread for hunting, they are are great family dogs.

I enjoy a good beer or glass of wine and a night out on the town occasionally but am far from a partier. I do not smoke, but am tolerant of people who do.
