Overview
About Me
Hey! My name is Pia, I'm 25 and was born and raised in Germany. I studied three European Public Health (B. Sc.) and Health Education and Promotion (M. Sc.) in Maastricht, Netherlands, which was basically the origin of my growing interest in different countries and cultures. I work as a research associate in mental health and I like to reading, practicing yoga, go hiking and spending time with my boyfriend and family. However, as much as I love being home, I love being on the road.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page." - Saint Augustine
I love to travel, and I assume everyone else on Couchsurfing does too, so I already feel attached to my potential hosts. I do not want to spend loads of money on fancy hotels but rather meet interesting strangers and discover their culture, their way of living, hear them talk in their language. The world is full of amazing individuals and Couchsurfing is the perfect platform to meet them. I can't wait to become inspired by you.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Jack Reacher books, I'm obsessed with the British band Bastille and my favorite movie is "The fault in our stars".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took a trip in a hot-air balloon once, which was one of the best experiences I've ever made.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some German basics and share my cooking skills.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to share the German culture (which goes beyond Sauerkraut and Lederhosen), my cooking skills and some funny stories. Sometimes, a nice chat is worth more than a couple of bucks, isn't it?
