I love traveling the length and breadth of the BEAUTIFUL paradox that is India, especially solo trips - the best way to make friends! All my travels are centered around architecture, art and food :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the only way to fully immerse oneself in the culture of another place is by mingling with locals. I do not want to just see what the guidebooks recommend. I want to get into the nooks and crannies of forgotten lanes. Discover small second-hand bookstores, tiny cafes and be awed by the architecture - the way the streets flow, the way the tiles glisten under the sun, the sloping roofs of old houses.

All my solo travels have been made better by the people I've met and explored new places with. Couchsurfing has been a great way to make new friends and travel, all without burning a hole in my pocket :) I'm still in touch with my first couchsurfing host 4 years later :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have basic cooking skills but I am great at doing the dishes!
I'd love to teach my hosts a little bit of Hindi and Kashmiri, I'll even add in a few Bollywood dance steps for good measure!

I have my stories of traveling and living in the crazy, beautiful mess that is India. I love hearing about other people's experiences - it feels like I'm reliving their journey with them everytime someone describes the highlights of their trip :)
