My name is Marta. I was born in Barakaldo (a small city in the North of Spain).
My family and I moved to Valladolid (a city close to Madrid, Spain) few years ago where I´ve lived there for the last years.
Last year I lived in China where far from my hometown, I developed friendships with people who were nothing like me, but were exactly what I needed. This taught me to embrace, not fear, experiences and relationships that were outside my comfort zone.
It also taught me the importance of communication skills.
Nowadays I´m living in San José (Costa Rica) where I´m doing internships in a company and working as a volunteer in an ONG.

When you travel to other countries, you realize the world is full of more beauty that you are capable of seeing in a lifetime.
When I traveled, I learned about other cultures.
As I see Couchsurfing is a good opportunity to meet a lot of people who is interested in traveling.
