Hello! I am Juan from Spain. I am very dynamic and active person. Love to travel around the world and meet nice people. I like to learn new cultures, languages, try new food and know the amazing stories that every person has to share.

I have lived in Spain, China, Italy, Mexico, Netherland, Belgium and now in Australia! I decided to travel Asia for 9 months and now move to this new country to make a new life :)

I am very energetic, enthusiastic, easy going and positive. I love to be always doing something, planning a trip, sport, yoga (teaching already), activity or just go to watch the sunset and feel the air. I think life is a great present and I want to take the best of it.

I love sports, outdoors, nature and hanging out with people :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have used it since my exchange in Italy 2015 but always with profiles of my travel buddy. I was hosting people in my flat in Madrid with Yestudent app (my flatmates only accepted that app).

Thanks to this platform I had the chance to travel when I was on my early 20's

I have host in Amsterdam and Brussels.

I have been hosted recently just myself by a couchsurfing friend of a friend and she was amazing. We had amazing adventures and now we are great friends.

Now moving to Australia I met people who motivate me to use it again and here I am! :)

Interests

- I love climbing, I have been doing it since I am 15 and it is very my passion, indoor and outdoor.

- Nature, hiking, camping. I cannot tell how many nights I have sent on a tent. I did some long hikes in Indonesia and India side of the Himalayas and it was really amazing, I love to challenge myself and climb high mountains.

- Backpacking: at 16 I did my first long pilgrimage where I discover the authentic backpacking life, since then I always travel with a backpack. When I moved to China I fell in love of Asia, since then I have been travelling every little space of time I have, I have been in 64 countries.

- Languages, after learning Italian I did not have any problem to learn French. I was studying Chinese mandarin for 2 years and managed to speak a bit. Now for pleasure studying Indonesian on my free time.

- Yoga teacher, I got my license in Rishikesh, India. I love to practice on beautiful places and to teach people around.

- Work out and calisthenics: love to keep training for climbing and for myself. As my yoga teacher used to say: "if something is flexible and strong it wont break when it falls"

- Apart of that I like many things, take nice pictures and edit them (see my insta), hangout with friends, go to watch the sunset and have some drinks, party and nightlife... Life city also suits me :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my nice corporate job and my good life to move to China to study a master at the end of 2018. Nice time. Traveling around south Asia on January 2020 my home in Beijing, China closed its borders due Covid, what to do? Spending time in Cambodia I realized on March 2020 I have to go back home, I could not say goodbye to my girlfriend at the moment who was from Mexico and was in Beijing :'(
Back Spain, March 2020, bum! covid here, we cannot get out of the house...not for me. Got a plane to Mexico to spend the 15 days that the pandemic regulations will hold (such a joke right?), arrived in Mexico, my return ticket cancel... ok lets live in Mexico
Living there 6 months, I loved it, it was like home.
Back Spain, weird covid vibes, not for me. Moved to Netherlands to find a better live, and it was an amazing time, after a year back in Spain, then Belgium....3 years after life got too comfortable for me and I decided to quit all and travel 9 months in Asia to spend my life savings....best decision ever honestly. That trip finished yesterday (19-sept) and now time to start again!

- I have studies on Business Management and Digital Marketing (bachelor degree and two masters) in case it could be useful I can teach as well.
