Overview
About Me
Hello fellow travelers! I'm a Canadian with Dutch-Irish roots about to turn 28 years old. I'm a very kind-hearted, funny and competitive individual. Work has brought me to the West coast of Ontario, where I live with my very beautiful Acadian girlfriend of two years. We spend our summers on the beach playing volleyball and I pass the time in the Winter with hockey. We work hard but know how to play harder.
Having traveled together over several months in Europe, we share a passion with other travelers. We are always interested in welcoming people into our home and learning about different cultures. Having used couch surfing several times, we understand the concept of paying it back to other travelers looking for alternative destinations and more cost effective places to stay!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Yes hostels can be a fun every now and then, and cheap way to party, but you're always going to get the tourist experience. Nothing opens up your understanding of the world better than meeting locals, exchanging cultures and understanding how they live. I hope to give a warm Canadian welcome to anyone who wishes to stay with us and hope to bring the same attitude when I find a someone who's kind enough to host me in a foreign land.
Interests
I love anything that gets my heart rate going. Sports, gym, rock climbing, dancing and partying.
But I also find comfort in taking these slowly, like enjoying unique cuisine, learning french, relaxing on the beach and meeting new people on my travels. And of course the best and oldest form of entertainment: Sharing tales of adventures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacked across Europe for a summer, going solo for most of the trip. As I was learning French it became very necessary to use it in some of the smaller towns outside of Paris. Living out of a backpack for so long really teaches you some new things.
Teach, Learn, Share
Learning Languages is key!
Being a natural born Canadian, I could teach someone how to skate on ice.
I love sharing cultures and travel stories.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be more than happy to cook at share a meal with my host. I have discovered a hidden talent in the kitchen that I'm looking to work on.
I can also speak/practice English and French if you are interested.
Amazing stories, the culture of Canada & perhaps I can take you for a tour in your own town and help you see something new that you never would have seen as a local.
