Hello! My name is Vandella, but most people call me Erika. I am a recent university graduate from the Los Angeles area, now living in Spain as an English teacher at a primary school. I have traveled throughout both Europe and Latin America extensively and am hoping to make it to Asia one day!

Outside of my academic interests I live for the opera and ballet, visiting galleries, cooking food, watching my football team Real Madrid, reading historical novels, and lazy days at the beach.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite classical music period is Romantic (Chopin, Schubert, Dvorak, etc.), I live for Spanish indie music, and Puccini is one of the great loves of my life. Book wise I am partial to Junot Diaz, Jeffrey Eugenides and Orhan Pamuk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I completed the pilgrimage to La Virgen de Guadalupe in Mexico City when I was 15.
