Overview
About Me
I am a Dutch national who has spent most of his life outside of the Netherlands, so I feel more international than Dutch in many ways. I think one of the best ways to challenge yourself and your own ways of thinking is through meeting new people and trying to learn how they look at the world. Big fan of epiphanies.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My girlfriend and I have been talking about couch surfing for a while; we've met some people over the years who strongly recommend it and always toyed with the idea.
Now we've finally decided to try it out!
Interests
Understanding, learning and improving. I like talking about politics, society and the way that things work (or don't...).
Beer is also a pleasure. Good company and conversation is even better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
That's a terrible question.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've spent the last four years studying corporations and the way they interact with politics, the economy and the wider society. If you want to learn a bit about the history of capitalism, economic theory, corporate politics and drivers, issues with privatised mass media - that sort of thing - then ask me and I will be happy to share what I can.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a reasonable cook who is happy to prepare food for a group but hates cooking for himself.
Countries I’ve Visited
Algeria, Bulgaria, Côte d'Ivoire, Denmark, India, Nepal, Poland, Sweden, Thailand, Togo
Countries I’ve Lived In
Belgium, France, Ghana, Indonesia, Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, United Kingdom
