About Me
I am Ng Ka Ling吳嘉玲. My nickname is Firo since my name pronounced in Cantonese is similar to 5+0 (five plus zero). I am gonna graduating from the Chinese University of Hong Kong who major in Geography and Resource Management. Though surrounding people may think that I am taciturn and introverted, those for know me after are surprised by my talkative character, sometimes crazy and funny. I am easy-going, a good listener and like sharing my stuff to friends. I love my parents very much and my two nephews:)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since starting the first travel to Korea, I discover how enjoyable travel is! Not only relaxing and playing, but more I have experienced and learned the realities, varieties, specialities from different countries and cultures. Every time I feel amazed at what I see, who I meet and grateful to have meet them.
The five months from last August to January in Korea is my greatest moment in life. Being persistent and under great pressure, I could finally attain my dream to be an exchange student in Korea. Living in Orange Guesthouse for a long time, the host treated me like family. I have met many brothers and sisters from Thailand, Turkey, Korea, Taiwan, China, USA and everywhere. Through deep talking, hanging out, I really learn a lot, become much open-minded and changed much than I expect! I also feel thankful to be a "long stay host" to welcome and help other guests. And many of them become my best friends. I feel very glad that they like who I really am as when traveling, I express whole of my true self.
That's why through couchsurfing, it is definitely the best way to experience the localities, meet and help more different people by sharing, talking and gathering.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 18, I suddenly decided to visit Korea. I bought the flight ticket before 7 days of arrival and went alone for a week. But at that time, I didn't know Korean and complex formalities were required when entering music shows. My friends even worry me more than myself. They joked and asked if I would die. Fortunately I survived.
I realize traveling alone is much fun. I can enjoy my free time, explore the new place and myself.
