About Me

First, I hate to talk about myself. Lol. I worked as a Journalist, Translator and Associate Editor for an independent media for 6 years and, for many reasons, I decided to move to China last year and teach English. It gives me the opportunity to travel in this part of the world and learn Chinese.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, meet new people and... save money, and I think couch surfing is the best way to kill these three birds with one stone.

As a host, it's also a way for me to share what I'm very thankful for: a paid for apartment with an empty guest room.

Interests

Although I'm very sociable, I enjoy solitude, as most writers do. I love reading, writing, photography, playing guitar, watching movies and series and going to the gym. I never get bored and I really do not comprehend how someone can be bored in life; there's soooo much to do, if you gave me 72 hours in one day, I'd ask for more!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music... I hate that question because I love music. The music I listen to depends on the mood I'm in and what I'm doing. Some days are good for Bob Marley, some for Bonobo, others for Metallica. When I'm working I have to listen to instrumental music so I love jazz, lounge and anything instrumental that's not Kenny Gish. Right now my favorite band is Hiatus Kayote, but it might not be next month...

I hate Hollywood movies... but hey, who doesn't watch that crap every once in a while? I love foreign and independent films, but I mostly enjoy original stories that surprise me. I love Tarantino and the Cohen brothers... But lately I've been watching series including House of Cards and Making a Murderer.

Books... same as music, I love reading so I don't have a favorite author. I really enjoy reading Tom Robbins and right now I'm reading the Godfather, which is just awesome.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been on a humanitarian boat to Palestine. Got turned around by Israeli machine guns.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach French and English, but now when I want to speak German I think in Chinese, so I guess I can teach Chinman!? I love learning new languages so I welcome language exchanges.

Please note that I'm a horrible cook and I try to eat raw vegan food as much as I can because I don't really have to cook. I'll let you cook and I'll take care of the dishes :)

When you come to my place, make yourself at home. You can make yourself tea, coffee and eat whatever's in the fridge - at your own risks.

What I Can Share with Hosts
