Hey There! My name is Sarah and I am from a very small town outside of New York City--so I grew up with a familiarity with big cities, but also a love for the countryside. I will be finishing up my bachelors degree in Sociology and Environmental Science (with a concentration in Politics and Economics) at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, USA. From September of 2015 to May of 2016, I have been studying on exchange at the University of Edinburgh. Although my time here is brief, Edinburgh is like a home to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend of mine at the University of Edinburgh started bringing me to couch surfing meet-ups every Wednesday night. Every week I was finding myself in a new pub meeting new people from all around the world. Each person had a great story about the places they have travelled and great plans for where they would go afterwards. I was so inspired by their love for travelling, as I am a big traveller myself, that I decided I should join as well. I love how trusting couch surfing is and its ability to connect people all around the world in a fun and safe way.

Interests

I love anything outdoors from hiking, to mountain climbing, to camping, to water/snow skiing, to even skydiving. I am working on my photography skills and trying to get into the habit of journalling my travel/adventure experiences.
