About Me
Hi,
My name is Deividas (but everyone calls me Davis), I'm a 5th course Medical student from Lithuania, but i love travelling around on foot, hitchhiking, camping, sightseeing, dancing and singing, teaching people things that I love.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Sometimes you want to meet new people, and why not travel around while doing so ?
Also, you can't always sleep in the nearby woods :)
Interests
Folklore (i collect and learn songs, dances, traditions from Lithuania and other places all over the world)
Dances (even if I started with Lithuanian folk dances, i do not limit myself - I tried out Line-dancing, Waltz, Tango, Quickstep, Swing and Rock'n'roll, Salsa, Samba, Rumba, Cha-cha-cha, and now i'm into Zouk, Kizomba nad Batchata)
Hikes (i love being and hiking outdoors, finding new places and facing new challenges, the smell of firewood burning and rain, the feeling of diving into a lake after a good stroll through the woods)
Music (i used to play guitar and kanklės, i still play sometimes, but nowadays i spend more time dancing to music than playing it)
J. R. R. Tolkien (the fantasy world that I lived in during my teens)
Teaching (I'm a folk-dance teacher, and i love doing it)

Movies - LOTR trilogy, Children of Men, Memento, The Godfather, 12 Angry Men.
Books - LOTR trilogy, Hobbit, Silmarillion, Children of Hurin, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Godfather, The Witcher series.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Got a bit lost in a swamp alone, but pulled myself through (and out, literally) and found a way across it, and it was the longest path available.
Why not shorten it, you say? i was locked down a path by a huge lake to my left and by soldier training ground (where they fired live ammunition that exact day) to my right, so I had to go through the whole swamp.
It was fun. Even when got almost waist-deep in quagmire.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach - various dances, folk songs, camping skills.
Learn - almost anything :D I love trying out new things, from cooking to sports to technical skills.
Share - stories, both of my little adventures and the legends of old.
