My name is Jordi and I'm a Biotechnology student.
I am currently studying in Kaunas (Lithuania), under the Erasmus program.
I am very easy going and peaceful guy. I consider myself a little bit shy, especially in the beginning. However, when I get to know someone I’m a very kind and funny friend.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I love travelling and meeting new people. I think that’s a good way to be in contact with locals more properly when you’re traveling. Actually this is one of my purposes when I travel so definitely I really want to have a lot of experiences in Couchsurfing.

Interests

As a science student I really love nerdy stuff. I enjoy talking about of the origins of life, biochemistry and genetic engineering.
I really enjoy philosophy too, and I am particularly interested in bioethics. Some subjects like cloning, GMO’s, genetic therapies and so on are essential to be approached in an ethical way.
Furthermore, I’m also interested in environmental questions because I really love nature and animals.
Other big interest that I have is to travel and to learn how people face their life’s for all over the world. I think that traveling is one of the most powerful ways to learn about human condition.
Maybe that sounds cliché, but one of my greatest motto is “traveling is the only thing you buy that makes you richer”. ;D
One of the most things that I love traveling is food. I enjoy tasting different dishes and I consider myself a good eater. Concerning food, I am not picky at all, I am just a foodie.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love pop music, specially singers like Rihanna, Lady gaga, Madonna, Sia, David Guetta, Coldplay, Bruno Mars, …
However, I also like other genres like rock, electronic music, jazz, latin, catalan and spanish music.
Concerning movies, I like animation (Walt Disney), comedy, adventure, fantasy, romance and some others. Also I like horror movies very much although at night I can’t sleep very well hahahah :/

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A giant Spanish tortilla (omelet) of 20 eggs, and it was really good!
Not really amazing but I have a long list of amazing/crazy things to do, like deep diving, skydiving, and maybe someday bungee jumping, why not!? :D
