Overview
About Me
Animal lover, married to my books, and when I manage to tear myself from my literary love, I spend a great deal of time enjoying the company of my friends, and art spaces all around Nairobi. I cannot call myself a spiritual person, though I am interested in spiritual enlightenment and growth. The process of growth generally interests me. The history of the spiritual establishments in the world particularly fascinate me as well. I could say I am an open book and what you see is what you get but the human condition is a bit more mysterious than that, or at the very least, more layered than what one sees at face value. Say hello. I am always looking to expand my circle of cherished souls.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This little thing called a bucket list , where I have underlined 'travel the world' in red. Possibly have it written in caps. But its not just about travelling but about meeting great people from all walks of life. We cannot all afford five star hotels when we travel, but even if we could, there is something to be said about interacting with the inhabitants of a city, the true face of a country, outside of the polished facade of beautiful hotels with manicured lawns. I am looking for the authentic human interaction experience when I eventually start to travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Becoming a writer and seeing the world, not as it is, but how I want to see it. Most people never realize that they have the choice to change their view of the world. Writing taught me how to use this freedom.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am keen on language exchange. My swahili is pretty good (For a Kenyan), but my spanish, french, italian, portuguese and dutch could use a bit of work.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A wicked sense of humour, incredible fashion sense (This is part of the incredible sense of humour since I have no fashion sense to speak of, just dumb luck with my outfits :D), a listening ear and an inquisitive nature.
