About Me

Hollaa! I am Celine, 33 grandma years old and moved to Berlin a few months ago, where I am navigating my way through this crazy little life. Currently I am focussing on building a more conscious life where I do good for others and give light to all the beautiful small meaningful things in life. Such as meeting new beautiful souls from all over the world 🌎

For the hangouts section: let me know if you want to hang out (as just Friends) and do fun stuff in the city! I’m not in for the typical touristic stuff, but would love to discover the cute small local artistry places, do sports or a sustainable activity/voluntary work or enjoy life in the sun! ☀️ (or play some ice hockey now that its winter ⛄️)

For when traveling: I love using Couchsurf and having this special and unique cultural exchange. I think it holds so much beauty: meeting souls from all walks of life, sharing all sorts of stories and moments, hearing what life looks like from locals, and of course having loads of fun and laughters ☘️ For me in life it's not the places I go to that give me joy, but the people I meet and the moments I share. It gives so much inspiration, aspiration and admiration!

With becoming a granny age I’ve become so grateful for the random encounters with strangers who’ve become my dearest friends in the blink of an eye. Scattered all over the world. With all these experiences I realize I need little in life to give me sparks: feeling connected with people around me and experiencing the small nature and life phenomenons ✨ In Dutch you would say: the big is in the small ⭐️

Ending with a personal life Philosophy like fellow other CouchSurfers do: “Variety is the spice of life” 🪇

PS, now you are here on my profile anywayss, I would love to recommend watching FREE documentaries on ‘Waterbear.com’ or ‘Arte.tv’ 🌳🐝🪵🍄☀️ They share such important knowledge on all topics and have sooo many beautiful, informative and inspiring stories from people all over the world doing such beautiful things 💙 It would be soooo cool if we would all start to talk about these documentaries instead of random TV series. Let’s talk about our fascination for people, animals, nature and universe 😊 🌸🙏🦉🐢🐙🌝🌈✨

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the best way to discover a place is when staying at a local. I think its unique to get to know more about your country, culture and history through your eyes.

Music, Movies, and Books

I loove reading non fiction books about society, history or autobiography’s of people with inspiring life stories. I also love documentaries and watching movies that make you reflect on life or society. Recommendations on these topics are always welcome!

- My Movie recommendations:
The Triange of Sadness, Everything Everywhere All at Once, El hoyo/the platform (intense one though, but our world also is)

- My Book recommendation atm:
‘An Immens World: How animals senses reveal the hidden realms around us’. Every page is sooooo insightful. I just can’t believe there is so much beauty in front of us, but we cannot see. I can just gaze into the void and be fascinated about all that is - and is not - to be seen. Just crazy how loads of animals see with UV light and have a much bigger color palette, or how trees communicate on sound levels we don’t hear. Just wunnnderfull 🪸 (I have sooo many more recommendations on topics and always loooove exchanging all insightful bookstories with each other 😊 )

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Using couchsurf and hitchhiking. The small encounters with strangers - and receiving so much kindness from them - always get me sooo excited. It gives me this spark and feeling of truly being alive. What more amazing feeling is there than that 😊

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn some more jamming on the guitar. I am not that good, but if you want I can teach you the basic accords on the guitar or ukelele. Or we could try to jam together, I want to get better at that!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Smiles and kindness 😄 and if you want a nice Dutch wintermeal, but then the vegetarian version 😇 Its not special and it's veeeeeeeeerry boring, but of course I am happy to share this with you so you can decide for yourself! Orrr I make some other nice veggie meal 👩‍🍳
