About Me

Walking to Santiago de Compostela for the moment.

'Keep it simple', that's what I like. And that's what I'll do in my description about myself. :) Let's start by saying that I do like simple things; going for a walk, being in a forest, close to a lake or a river, camping, hitchhiking, gardening and playing simple tunes on my ukulele.
I like simple artwork, to watch, hear, feel, and to create myself. Creativity is a big part of my life. I love when the flow of it catches you.
So I'm an amateur actress myself. Some parts have been a lot of work for me, but it has brought me closer to who I am as I became more able to open up.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Connection, connection, connection. I repeat: connection. When I travel I love meeting like-minded people, but most of all locals! It makes the experience richer. And I want to make my life richer by inviting the world into my home. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Fat Freddy's Drop is one of my favorite bands. And I loved reading:
- Briefing before a descent into hell by Doris Lessing and
- Moeder waarom leven wij? by Lode Zielens.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bought an ukulele in Thailand during my solo trip through South-East Asia. A friend I made there advised me to do it. At first I hesitated as it was quite some money at that time, but I am so grateful he convinced me by saying: 'you'll never feel lonely'. And the uke did become a friend in times of loneliness.

Teach, Learn, Share

I always enjoy learning how to make things myself. I can teach you how to make a dreamcatcher, show some songs on the uke to sing along to. Let's discover some good music in Belgium!
Can we make some clothes together, build instruments or furniture?
I'm an aspiring bass player, I am hungry for your tips and tricks!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A taste of Belgian beers during a stroll through the town of Antwerp.
