Overview
About Me
I was born in NY but moved to Brazil right after and was raised there for about 4 years. Portuguese is my first language, but after living in the US for so long I have produced an american accent when I speak Portuguese unfortunately :( . But, I have lived a Brazilian lifestyle my whole life and I go back to Brazil almost every year to visit my family.
Lived in the US for 10 years, then moved back to Brazil in 2009 after the economy crashed. I tried to go to school out there, but it didn't work out because college there is just as expensive as college in the US, and who has the money to pay for that?! So, after about a year I moved back to the US where I was essentially homeless.
I'm going to stop there, we can better get to know each other when we meet! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have traveled a good amount, but I would like to travel in a less touristy manner, and try to get to know people and their culture better. I feel the best way to do this is by putting myself out of my comfort zone and go couchsurfing. This way, not only will I make new friends, but they can give me advice on non-touristy places to visit or show me around themselves!
I am open to show anyone around NYC, give rides, cook food, whatever you need. Also, I have a lot of family in Brazil and Poland, so if I am ever in Brazil or Poland I can host people there as well.
Interests
I like to hike, go to the beach, go to bars, dance, go out to eat, hang out with positive people.
All my life I have been very artistic. I went to college and took some art courses and I also love photography. I am no professional, but I hope to learn more through my travels.
I am obsessed with learning how to cook new things. If you know how to cook, def teach me what you know!
Small talk is not my forte. Talking about the weather is not interesting to me. I like GOOD conversation. Getting to know people, their thoughts, views, and learn about their culture. I am extremely open minded and I am always down to have a good time. I am goofy most of the time, but always come down to earth to recharge my battery.
