Overview
About Me
Hi! Im a super tall, super enthusiastic, curious, 22 y/o Dutch girl and I come with a lot of positive vibes :) I was traveling South America for four months, but now I am moving to Lisbon to study. I grew up in the Netherlands but I have lived in Salamanca, Madrid and Los Angeles and I love traveling and exploring new places and cultures. Last year I finished my bachelors in Business Administration and right now I have a gapyear before I start my masters in International Management. Im easy going, always positive and a clean guest and if you are willing to host me Ill be super happy!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am super curious and always eager to learn new things and meet new people. When I travel I want to know the local culture, habits, places, people and not stay in a big hotel chain.. I love meeting locals on my travels, cause I think hanging out with them gives me the most authentic experience and possibly the most fun!
Interests
Besides my obvious love for traveling and exploring, I love dancing, so South America was a sweet place for me :) I also really enjoy cooking and trying out new types of food, so I am continuously on a search for local dishes and snacks. Furthermore I enjoy a range of activities, from going to museums and drinking wine to extreme sports end partying till sunrise.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 18 I moved to Spain without speaking any Spanish, to learn Spanish and experience Spanish life. I ended up doing an internship in Madrid so it worked out quite well. I loved that time! Made so many good friends and learned how to be comfortable outside my comfort zone.
Some other things
- Danced salsa in Cali, Colombia, the birthplace of salsa
- Climbed the great wall of China
- Swam with wild dolphins
- Rolled my own sigar in the tabacco fields of Cuba (and failed. haha)
- Climbed a palmtree to get a fresh coconut
- Jumped of a ice cold waterfall in Ecuador
- Sandboarded in the desert of Ica, Peru
- Climbed Machu Picchu
and many more things :)
