Overview
About Me
My name is David, I'm originally from London, where I was raised as an Orthodox Jew. I moved to Israel aged 18, where I've lived since, and where I studied and trained as a lawyer, losing my religion in a protracted process of soul searching.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always enjoyed traveling and recently spent half a year traveling in east and southeast Asia. While hostels can be fun, I would love the chance to see a city through the eyes of a local and add a deeper understanding to the travel experience. Similarly, I'd love to share my little corner of the world with others.
In general I'm a big fan of, and believer in, genuine sharing economy ideals - the real question is why it's taken me so long to join.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Pretty open to most types of music, especially if live, but lean towards alternative/indie.
Movies: Obviously depends a lot on mood, but Wes Anderson and Richard Linklater are always winners, also enjoy most of the Apatow movies - they have heart.
Books: A nice mix of fiction and non fiction. Murakami, Bill Bryson, most history related books, Dan Ariely, Primo Levi, Steven Pinker...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving - cliché I know, but jumping out of a plane probably tops it for me.

My perspective on the world, but more importantly a listening ear and the will to meet new people and have genuine conversations and experiences.
