About Me
I'm an Engineering student who's very easy going and loves to try anything once. I've only travelled solo once before and that was last year in Canada and absolutely loved it so I'm going to do a rail trip through the U.S. and want to see as much as I possibly can.
I'm starting my trip in San Francisco and planning on ending up in either NYC or Montreal before flying back to England. I've got an 8 segment Amtrak rail pass so I'm planning on having my route made from the suggestions and ideas of hosts and people I meet. I dislike planning trips. If I already know where I'm going to go and where I'll end up, then I don't see it as travelling :)
I'm not the type of person who wants to spend their time doing and seeing the things that millions of other people have. I'm happy to see tourist attractions but I want to experience things that you can't buy like going to food spots and bars that only the locals would know about, or going to parties with the people I meet.
I'm a pretty active person who always makes the most of any situation and feel like meeting new people and sharing experiences is the most important thing when travelling.
Some of my favourite parts of travelling have been sitting up on a balcony or a hill or something drinking a beer at 5am talking about everything and anything and generally just sharing cultures with the people I've met or stayed with.
I'm pretty into my fitness at the minute so I'd be more than happy to join in a run or swim etc if exercising is your thing.
I like to feel like I'm a handy/helpful person so if you need me to help around the place or fix things while I stay I'd be more than happy to in order to repay the favour :)
I struggle to talk about myself off the top of my head, but I like to think of myself as a solid 8/10 on the inside, so feel free to ask me any questions. Also, sometimes when I've stayed with people we've met up first for a drink to get to know me before I stay so I'm more than happy to met first before you decide if I could stay :)
And if you own any dogs I would be ecstatic if I could walk them or look after them for you
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've just done a month in the USA and I can hands down say that couchsurfing MADE my trip. There's nothing like the couch surfing community. I had some amazing experiences with it throughout Canada in 2016 too and now I can actually fit people in my room I'm going to start hosting asap :)
Interests
I spend most of my time with friends, exploring new places and areas around my hometown or travelling to beaches when we aren't working, training or partying
I'm really into animals, cars, exploration, street food, microbreweries, dogs, nature, more dogs, art and dogs.
