Overview
About Me
Born in a village between the mountains and the cristal clear waters of Mallorca I went to study to the vibrant city of Barcelona a Biomedical Sciences degree with the intention of becoming a Global Health professional. That journey then took me to Cambridge, Antwerp and London, where I specialized in the control of infectious diseases.
I then worked for two years for an NGO that specializes in the prevention of malaria in children. As part of my work I conducted fieldwork in South Sudan and Mozambique, where I lived for two months. Now I am about to start a new chapter as a UK civil servant fellow, which will allow me to participate in the response of national and international outbreaks.
I'm a very curious person who's always looking for new opportunities to learn through living new experiences. I have always been very interested in learning about different cultures, and the best way of doing it is through traveling! In the recent years, I particularly enjoyed multi day walking holidays and done hikes in the Pyrenees, Mallorca, England, Wales and Scotland.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have always enjoyed showing my favourite places to friends and visitors, I try to take them to places I would like to be taken in order to get to know the essence of a place and its culture, that's why I like the idea of Couchsurfing. It brings you the opportunity of staying and knowing locals while travelling, its like a deeper and more holistic travel experience in which both sides get a benefit!
