Hello there,

My name is Won and I'm Korean American living in America. I was born and raised in Korea until I was 12 and moved to the US since then. Due to this, not only I'm fluent in both Korean and English but I'm also familiar with both cultures. I'm currently working as a software developer at NYC area.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm bit of a newbie when it comes to traveling. I haven't travel much yet.. But would like to take a proactive step toward traveling to different countries and learn about different cultures. Would love to make friends throughout the world who can show me around their local cities. Of course, I can do visa versa!

Interests

Dining out- I'm a big foodie and always willing to spend any price to get a good meal. I like all kind of food which includes Japanese, Latin American, Indian and Italian.

Cooking- Not only I dine out, but I also like to cook good food as well. Home cook meal guarantees me that I'm eating a healthy meal and it is also fun as I get to try out fancy recipes and mix different ingredients.

Watching movie - I wouldn't call myself a movie critic but I like to watch critics acclaimed movies as well as commercial hollywood movies. I have recently got into international movies.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all kind of music. Classical, Jazz, Rock, Electronics, Hip Hop, Country.. You name it and i must have it in my iPod. In matter of fact, you can also find lot of movie soundtracks as well.

As for books, I grew up reading Harry Potter over and over again. I can probably answer most of questions you ask. But I must say Sherlock Holmes series are one of my all time favorites.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm in process of learning Japanese and Spanish. Can only recognize basic phrases at the moment (animes and movies are great for this) but as I travel and meet people who speak these languages I can get better at it :)
