About Me

Hi everyone, I'm Monica and I'm 32. I'm easygoing and curious. I'm working in the in the development sector. In a very simple list, if I have to choose what I love: to explore and travel, to be fascinated with the unknown, surprises, music, dancing, sports, books, last minute plans, open mind, photography, museum, spontaneity, going out (but also staying in), sharing, simplicity, respect, down to earth (however fantasy is also very important), people, sense of humor about yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm living in Dublin for a while and couchsurfing is one of the best and easiest way to know new people in a other country.

Interests

Travel. Knowing peoples, countries, cultures. Cooking and share meals with friends. Cinema and lectures. Photography and walking around the city also without a specific plan. About sport cycling and hiking, swim and climbing even if I'm just a beginner. Try and discover always something new, a new interest, a new receipt, a new friend.

Music, Movies, and Books

Difficult to choose, I don't have one. On the top movies for sure La Haine, Mathieu Kassovitz. Then, Pulp Fiction, The Godfather (1-2), Star Wars, Mary Poppins, Suffragette; but also many animation movies: Finding Nemo, Up, Toy Story 1-2, all from Studio Gibli and Mihazaki's, Inside Out, Wall E and many others.
About books, among others: one of my favorites writers is J.C. Izzo (the best is "A Sun for the Dying" but also all the Marseilles trilogy), "Tereza Batista: Home from the Wars" of Jorge Amado, "Suplhuric Acid" of Amelie Nothomb.
Music: all kind, but "Aaron" and "Sky and Sand" are without any doubt the most relaxing among my favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving in the wonderfull sea of Zanzibar plenty of every kind of amazing fish. When I was in Nicaragua, I went canyoning with some friends in a wild river canyon, wonderful.
