About Me

Hi there! I am a 23-year-old girl from Slovakia, currently studying in the beautiful city of Prague. As probably a lot of you, I love travelling, exploring new places and cities, but recently I just find it really calming to be in nature or going for a hike, hence the school life, which comes with studying Mathematics, is quite stressful. Discovering new places, learning new languages and meeting new people whilst getting to know about their lifestyle, culture and habits is something I´m looking forward to.
I also enjoy doing sports and my biggest passion is figure skating, which I´ve been doing since I was 6. Other than that I am a book-lover, I can´t imagine a life without chocolate and sweets or basically food in general!

Interests

I am a fan of sports of any kind, mostly skating on or off ice, even though I´m not that great in the latter. Some time in the near future I´d like to try climbing, but generally I like volleyball, tennis (still learning the basics with my brother), gymnastics, ballet and I have an on and off relationship with running, though I try to fall in love with that one.
During my High School studies, I had a great deal of Spanish, that´s why I am interested in the language a lot. I visited Spain just once, but I intend to change that soon. I´d like to learn more about the hispanic countries, so I´m keen on going to Latin America, but truthfully I want to see the most of this world as I can!
Talking about languages, I love learning them. Being able to talk to people in their native language is great feeling. Besides, there is this other, not so common, reason. When reading a translation of a book or article, I have a feeling I might miss some puns and the author´s authenticity and that´s why I read mostly originals, if possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music genre is rock, but I am open to almost everything. If I like it than I don´t care which music style it is. Mostly, I listen to music according my mood. While studying, I like to listen to instrumental pieces or the covers such as the work of Piano Guys. However, you can find me listening to pop or rock songs, just to chill and currently I am a big fan od Sia, James Bay, Mumford and Sons, Ed Sheeran, Linkin Park, Green Day and many more. Like I mentioned earlier, beacuse of Spanish I like to listen to Spanish music but still don´t know a lot singers or bands, so if you have suggestions, I´d be grateful! :) I have some Enrique songs, Alvaro Soler, Dvicio, Chino y Nacho and Juanes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll be glad to help you with everything if I'm capable of doing so. I can also teach you how to ice skate or do some figure skating moves! ☺ We can talk in English or Spanish and if you're not a native I can help you with these languages, or if you are a native-speaker I will appreciate the same from you, as I want to "perfeccionar" my skills. I can tell you more about my home country and our habits, our beautiful nature and recommend you what's best to see there.
