Hello. My name is Ria Joo. I'm from South Korea and now I'm living in Hatch Camphill Community as a co-worker. I plan to live in UK for a year. I really like travelling around on my own and with friends. My hobbies are outdoor activities and taking pictures. I spent most time in China and moved to Korea because of university.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy making friends and sharing different cultures. I believe I could make many friends and fantastic memory through couchsurfing. Furthermore, I can travel somewhere from a native point of view. I'm looking forward to enjoying my time around Europe with lovely friends that I wish to meet.

Every morning I go jogging or cycling. One of my favorite interests is sports especially outdoor activities. And I like volunteering activities since I did many things when I was high school student. For instance, support disabled children, become a translator, free wall painting and fund-raising...

Music, Movies, and Books

Bruno Mars, the Beatles' songs and Glee Cast. I love family movie which can make a profound impression. Also I like Christopher Nolan's movies, for example, Inception and Interstellar. As for books, I like reading essays, poetry, autobiography and books that are related to society.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in China for 19 years but can speak three languages as well. I think my childhood in China is one amazing experience that I've done. I always feel lucky to make Chinese friends there and still get in touch. Hopefully, I could make more friends by couchsurfing.
