Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Ewa.
I work in research, volunteer with the Climate and Health Alliance and finishing a Masters in Public Health.
I'm a bit of an introvert but I'm very open and warm, I'm an intersectional feminist, vegetarian, and I'm a very clean and tidy person.
I love trying new things and pushing myself to new limits. Which is why I'm leaving my current trip a lot more open.
I'm usually the kind of person that travels with a full itinerary and everything pre-planned and booked. But I feel like this means I miss out on a lot of spontaneous plans and opportunities. I'm a bit of a hermit too, so I feel like this will force me to go out and meet new people and make some new friends!
I love kids and animals and I'm pretty adaptable to most environments.
I'm a big fan of taking quizzes and for those who care I'm an INFJ.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'll be travelling through Canada and the US through June and July. I'm looking to meet people who can give me some tips so I can avoid doing overly "tourist" type activities and also obviously, a place to sleep at night.
I'd love to meet some people who are keen to share meals, hikes, stories, and museums/galleries - so if you're on my profile and think you would like to join me feel free to send a message!
Interests
I love dancing, I used to train in classical ballet but these days I mostly just love to flail around haha. I love eating! I like going to restaurants and cafes and I love to cook too. I love browsing record stores and finding a bargain. Oh, and I'm also pretty obsessed with shoes.
My hobbies are making pom poms, sewing, cycling, hiking, cooking (but not baking, unfortunately that's not a strong point for me) karaoke and just chilling with a book or movie.
I'm passionate about climate change and food systems which is why I'm doing my masters in Public Health. I hope to one day work for The Lancet or the World Health Organisation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went spelunking in a cave in Tasmania. I crawled through tiny spaces, over waterfalls and wriggled backwards through a crawlspace. It was one of the best experiences, I was lucky enough to be taken by a professional who took me on the tour solo as not a lot of people travel through Tasmania in the middle of winter.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm pretty renowned for my jam-making skills! Show me where to get the fruit and cooking pot, let me know if u prefer brown sugar or honey, and give me an hour :)
I'm also one of those "clean-freaks" so give me some errands to run and I promise I'll have a great time doing them haha.
I would also love to trade information and stories!
I'm happy to hang with you and I'm also content to keep to myself and make my presence barely noticeable.
I'll arrive with my own food and toilet paper and leave the place hopefully even cleaner than when I arrived.
If you have pets I can take them for walks and give them lots of cuddles!
