Overview
About Me
Honestly, I just want to live life.
I love being in nature, meeting new people, doing things that make me feel alive and just purely being. Those are the things that make me happy.
I will be spending a year away from home and in this year I want to put myself in a few uncomfortable situations where I will be able to grow beyond the person I am right now. I want to experience the people and the culture of the country I find myself in, instead of just going to touristy spots to take postcard-like photos. I just want to be present in the moments that I find myself in.
My friends would describe me as a very happy and upbeat person who is ALWAYS keen for everything. I'm not scared of doing things where I could embarrass myself and I truly believe that life is too short, so you shouldn't be too serious (however, I also know how to get the job done when the situation calls for it). I am basically as loyal as your childhood golden retriever and being there for the people in my life are important parts of my life philosophy.
I don't really know what more to add for this, but if you have any questions for me, please ask! I am always up for a interesting conversation!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to experience the world and its cultures, and lets face it, what better way to do that than to live with the locals. EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS MAN!
(And I travelled through Europe in 2016 and just had the most amazing coushsurfing experiences. Just experiencing the different culture in the purest sense)

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite music to listen to is probably in the electronic genre.
I am a big fan of chilled tunes, Tropical House tracks, psytrance, Techno and anthing that will lighten up my day and boost my spirit.
(Although I can appreciate any good music!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My underwater hockey team won gold at the world championships in 2015 and well that makes me a World Champion(yeah, it does exist and it is an amazing sport). I have never in my life experienced so much joy and pride in one moment as I did after that buzzer went off.
(Another amazing thing that I am thankful for every day is I worked on a remore Island as a Scuba dive Master in Raja Ampat! Spectacular time of my life!)
Teach, Learn, Share
To be 100% honest with you, there is not a lot that I can teach you... I can mabe take you scuba diving, or even hiking if you would like, but one thing I can share with confidence with you is the world out of my eyes. My thoughts, my perspectives, my ideas...
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well I will show them what a true South African looks like and well, I could share some of my travel stories. Oh and I can cook an amazing traditional south african meal.
