About Me

I'm a 21 year old chef, travelling Thailand, learning to cook and immersing myself in new cultures.

I love food, meeting new people, cooking, nature (especially mountains, waterfalls and the ocean), music, and trying new things and sharing experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have heard from a number of friends that this is the best way to truly understand the country you are visiting. From seeing the way that you live to meeting new and interesting people who share similar interests, I am very excited to see how couchsurfing can improve my travels.

And of course to save a little bit of pocket money along the way!

Interests

Cooking, food, nature, music

Music, Movies, and Books

A few favourite bands/artists would be Tame Impala, The Strokes, Peace, Circa Waves, EDEN, Moose Blood, Frank Sinatra. Basically anything from indie rock to heavy metal, drum and bass to jump up, classic jazz to swing, and everything imbetween.

My favourite book is The Shadow of the Wind, and I've really gotten into travel writing since setting off on the road.

I love anime, both series and movies; I really like some of the darker humor found on TV like Archer, South Park and Futurama; favourite films are Shawshank Redemption and Cars (Disney) so again a pretty wide spectrum.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cliff diving into a waterfall is probably the most amazing thing I've done so far, but I plan to top that as soon as possible!

Also seeing Tame Impala play live was probably the most breathtaking experience I've had pre-travels.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to cook the Thai recipes I have picked up so far, along with a couple of western favourites.

I am very keen to learn about your culture, religion, any music you might be into, and of course any recipes you would be willing to share!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be more than happy to cook for you, share stories of my travels so far and help out with any jobs around the house that need doing. I'm handy with computers if that would ever be useful? Otherwise I think I'm a really personable guy and hopefully I'll find friends through doing this.
