Overview
About Me
I'm a 20 year old economics student from Brazil, currently going on a semester abroad in Lyon. I'm a pretty easy going guy, if a bit shy. I'm very kind and attentive, trying to help people around me whenever possible. I like to explore the cities I visit as deeply as possible, getting to know the people and their culture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I'm about to spend a semester away from my hometown, I feel like this is a great platform to meet locals and fellow travelers in Lyon and in other cities I visit during the semester.
Interests
I like to see what the cities are really like for those who live there, which takes me to some interesting places off the beaten path. Talking to and getting to know people from different cultures is one of the main reasons I love to travel.
Music, Movies, and Books
That's a hard one. I love music, from rock to jazz and soul to bossa nova and chanson. I'm specially interested in the local musicians wherever I go. About books and movies, it's hard to pick just a few.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I believe one of the most amazing experiences I've had was in Buenos Aires, at the Feria de San Telmo, talking to a 71 year old bookseller. He told me about his country and his personal struggles through life. A complete stranger (a 71 year old man, at that) cried in front of me while talking about the friends and family the dictatorship took away from him. It was definitely an experience I'll never forget.
