My name is Lígia! I was born and raised in Ervália, a small town in the Brazilian countryside. I've been living in Rio de Janeiro for the past seven years and I'm really passionate about this gorgeous city.

I like to think I'm an open-minded person who is up to new experiences and things. Like most of us here, I love to travel, meet new people, enjoy both meaningful and meaningless conversations and have a good time with those around me!

I'm madly in love with this beautiful planet of ours, and CS is just the perfect tool to discover it in a wonderful way: meeting new people and having an immersive experience with the local environment.
I've surfed and hosted informally for awhile when living in Spain and had nothing but great experiences. I'm finally in a comfortable position to host in Rio and looking forward to do so.

Literature, cinema, TV series, world history, going out with friends, traveling solo, writing, partying, learning new languages, everything pop culture.

By profession, I’m a lawyer, and I’m specially passionate about human rights: children/women/LGBT rights are topics I’m very drawn to. I’m completely addicted to a good political discussion, and I will definitely want to hear your impressions about politics in your country and your perceptions about the current state of our world.

I’m also mad about sports, almost all of them, but specially football and volleyball - I’ve attended three Olympic Games and two FIFA World Cups, and hopefully I will be in many more!

~ I'm currently learning French, Italian and Russian with different levels of proficiency. I'm really looking forward to practice those languages, so I'd appreciate to have surfers who could help me with this task ~
