I am a Romanian girl who decided to move to Copenhagen to start a bachelor in Sustainable Biotech. I think that leaving abroad, especially in a multicultural city, has changed the way I see the world. Growing up in a small town didn't really give me the opportunity to broaden my perspectives, but since I moved to Copenhagen I am more engaged in society and love meeting new people and encountering new cultures. Currently I'm on exchange in New Zealand, visiting this amazing country at the other side of the world!

Why not? This website was suggested to me by a friend, and it seemed a great way to save some money and meet some wonderful people. When I first moved to Copenhagen I got in touch with some people on Couchsurfing to learn more about the culture and little life hacks that help you survive the long winter, and this is how I met one of my closest friends here.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's too difficult to choose between so many good books, but one of the best I've read is probably "Shogun" by James Clavell. Not so difficult to choose between the sitcoms tho: 100% FRIENDS. I've watched all the seasons so many times I know most of the lines. And when it comes to music, I prefer rock overall, I think it speaks to the soul more than others do.

I think this website is best for learning about different cultures. I am very interested in the traditions and customs different nations have, and I think we have a lot to learn from each other.
