Well hello, I'm Marije, a name you shouldn't try to pronounce if you aren't Dutch. When I'm travelling I normally go by the name Mariah. I studied to be a teacher in social skills, but I quit. I decided to study Tourism, but after a year I decided I want to work a people oriented job so I decided to study Social Work. I work in a salsa bar so I like to dance and listen to latin music.

I'm crazy about travelling, as anyone else on this site. For me it's important to get to know the city/country trough the eyes of a local. Besides that I love to do the same! I have a profile on Showaround where I either help people find nice places in Utrecht or actually give them a tour!

Interessi

I love flee markets, writing cards, enjoy the weather and history! Besides that I have a big collection of questions. I like to get into a deeper level in a conversation (hence the study choice), but I am also down for a 'normal' conversation about the weather.

Musica, film e libri

I listen to a lot of different music styles. For example I love John Mayer, but also Frank Ocean. I'm not really into metal. For movies I love the romantic comedies haha, but I will be fine with whatever as long as it is not a horror movie. I do read books, I'm just too lazy to look up the names of the books in English.

One amazing thing I've done is travelling to India & Nepal in my gap year when I was 17! In that amazing 'thing' I've done even greater things!

I have a lot of knowledge about history, I got great advice on what to watch on netflix. Besides that I think my life has had a lot of fun events, which I like to share.
