My name is Ann-Kathrin and I'm 19 years old. I'm from Germany and staying in the US for one year between Highschool and College to do a voluntary service at Camphill Village Copake. There I am working with people with developmental disabilities, or "Villager" how we would call them. (We are living and working together with them, so we are split in houseleaders, Coworker and Villager).

Back in Germany I grew up with my mum and my dog in a town close to Kassel (this is in the middle of Germany, two hours north of Frankfurt).

Intereses

I like doing sports (mostly soccer and tennis) , reading/writing (fantasy/sci-fi) and doing music.

Besides my gap year in the US which is great(!), I did a wonderful exchange to Australia with my school in 2012. For 6 weeks I stayed with the family of my exchange partner and went to Kenmore State High School in Brisbane. I got to know so many new people, improved my english, went surfing at goldcoast, camping at stradbroke Island and later our group went to Cairns to see the great barrier reef :)
