Hey fellow couchsurfers! My name is Isabel, and I'm an 18-year old student living in Copenhagen. I can't host people very often (as I live with the old folks) but I would love to show interested travelers around my beautiful city Copenhagen :)

I'm half-danish and half-american, so English is no problem (neither is Danish) and I speak a very rusty German, and I'm also currently learning Chinese. I would say I'm an outgoing person and easy to get along with :))

At the moment, I work part-time waitressing at a nice café when I'm not in school or hanging out with friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wanna meet some people from different countries and see the world from a new perspective. Also, it's so nice to experience an authentic visit to a country/city, instead of only seeing the touristy stuff.

These kind of experiences give me back some hope for humanity. We live in troubled times where religion, nationality and sexuality plays a way too big role in our views of each other. Why can't we accept the fact that we're all humans and start spreading some love instead of endless hate? Welcome refugees in Europe and don't let Trump ban muslims. I don't see the point for hatred, when we have so much more potential.

Interests

I love to dance, always have and always will, so at parties you will find me on the dancefloor all night long singing along to the music.

I have three cats (yes, I'm 18 and already a professional catlady), and I love them lots.

I used to write short stories and loved it - I haven't done it for some time now, (I've fallen out of the routine), but I have a secret inner dream of becoming an author one day far away in the future. We'll see how that turns out!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Beyoncé is my goddess and inspiration in life.
I also like artists like Banks, Childish Gambino, Hozier, Birdy, Rihanna (and many more) In general I listen to hip hop, r&b, dancehall, pop and lots of other stuff!

I love watching series, and spend waaaay to much time doing so (seriously, it's getting out of hand). Some of my ultimate favorite tv-shows include Grey's Anatomy, Stranger Things, Supernatural, Modern Family and Friends. These are only a few, the list is very long. Concerning movies, I have such trouble choosing a favorite! There are so many beautiful movies out there and I'm simply fascinated by movies that experiment with different techniques - for example, I was really struck by The Revenant... No words!

I also love to read, and some of my favorites include Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Hunger Games and A Constellation of Vital Phenomena.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a homecooked meal (probably something with pasta though) and a great mood! My home is a large apartment, and the people who live here include my family and always a couple of renters, so throughout my life I've lived with people from all over the world. Therefore I can offer a hyggelig place to stay with many different sort of people!
