My name is Gigi, I am a Dutch graduated illustrator and animator who is living in Nijmegen.
Nijmegen is a city with a lot of nice people and things going on. Next to the busy city, you have the beautiful nature and a forest for walks.
Nijmegen is 1 hours and 22 minutes by train to Amsterdam or Rotterdam, and next to Germany if you like to know that ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I already used Couchsurfing for traveling and hosted a few people.
It's a great way to meet new people and explore the world and her beautiful places. On Couchsurfing everybody has something in common: the love for traveling and meeting others. I'm happy this platform gives you the opportunity to discover the world in another way than normally.

Interests

I am inspired by everything and everyone around me.
I like art, not only because that is my work, but also because I grown up with art. It's amazing how you can express and share your thoughts by art. And it's just fun as well.
I like to do sports like dancing, atlethic, tennis, running, walking, swimming, snorkeling... and I still like to do all these sports so now and then to meet other people and keep myself healthy.
Food.... I eat and like everything! But since a few years I became Vegan (95% of the time) because of sustainability and animal - and human - suffering and health.

I like a lot of music, movies and books!
I like to read books for relaxing and that makes me a slow, chill reader as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My life is one big amazing adventure, but here are some nice things that I've done:
That time that I traveled through South Africa for a month and jumped 216 meters of a bridge.
Traveling through Borneo and Kuala Lumpur with my family a few years ago.
Studying in Cambridge as an erasmus exchange student, where I met nice people I will never forget!
The amazing big turtle I saw in Borneo, while snorkeling! That was almost scary because I didn't want to be hit by the beautiful animal.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always interested in learning new languages and learn new vegan meals!
If you like to draw or sketch I would like to draw together! I always have a sketchbook and pencils with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my room with you, that is full of plants. Food, creativity, sports, my short life experience stories and information about freelancing as an illustrator and animator :)
