I recently retired and am traveling across the US and Canada in my camper van. I am traveling alone so hope to connect with Couchsurfer across the country.

I enjoy meeting all sorts of people and learning about the places they live. Even if you can’t spend time with me, ideas of where to explore in your area are appreciated. I don’t really need a bed as I have that in the van but a shower and an outlet to plug the van into are appreciated although not required.

When not traveling I live in Upstate NY which is 3.5 hours from NY City. I live 30 minutes north of Albany (the capital of NY) and 10 minutes south of Saratoga Springs.

I am 55 years old. I love the outdoors...hiking, x-country skiing, snow shoeing, kayaking and biking.

I will not be accepting guests from the end of June 2019-October 2020. I hope to be couchsurfing with others during this time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, like to meet new people and hate to pay very expensive rates for hotels.

As of July 2019 I will be traveling in my camper van by myself so will be very glad to couchsurf to meet people who know the area and can point me in the direction of the best it has to offer. I won't need a place to sleep but would appreciate a real bed, shower and/or laundry if it is available.
