My mum moved us from Oxford to Mozambique when I was age three, and since then I feel like I've been in transit! Life as a semi-nomad has definitely become a part of my identity (I recently came up with the name "soMad").
Us third-culture-kids have always struggled with the concept of "home", and it's only in recent years that I have figured out that home is more of a feeling - it can be anywhere in the world as long as you're comfortable and you have good company! Because of my upbringing I am well-versed in guest-etiquette - I am clean, and if you want quiet I can occupy myself, but if you want company I can provide a good chat! Overall I'm smiley, easy-going, and just in search of a good time :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling alone has many perks, and one of them is that it forces you to meet people! I tend to find that people on travelling platforms are open, sociable, and come from across the world, and these are the kinds of people who I want to meet! Also, owning a house/apartment suggests more local knowledge as opposed to haphazardly roaming a city with a bunch of newbies picked up from a hostel!

Interests

So when it comes to talent I definitely peaked when I was 12. Sadly now my athleticism consists of a jog here and there, and my singing is reserved for the shower. Yet, it doesn't mean that I don't enjoy whatever it is that I'm doing! I enjoy cooking (but need some guidance), I love tennis (but need a patient partner), and dancing rejuvenates my soul (after a few beers). I have mastered the skill of chilling however 😎✌️
