About Me

❂ Some short facts at the beginning:

I am studying in Munich at the Technical University since October 2018 and I will leave Munich for Shenzhen in February 2019 for a semester abroad. Since my home university is in Germany, I will continue my studies in Germany afterwards.

❂ Person

I am born and raised in Germany, in the Ruhr Area which is mostly known for being a former coal mining area. People are super down to earth here! My parents are Vietnamese and I also rather consider me as a Vietnamese living in Germany although I have the German citizenship. German and Vietnamese are my mother tongues.

Hanging out with my friends is the best thing to do during the spare time! I am also a family person who is really close to his parents. Things haven't been that simple as today, I took responsibility really early when I was young and this is what made me the guy I am now (thanks to my parents).
I am kinda extroverted and I like long and deep conversations. My friends would also describe me as a very sincere and honest person. Leaving things to their own is really not my way of living! Being proactive and keen is one of my qualities!

However, I usually get familiar to all kind of person after a short time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Everyone can visit the sights, everyone can do a selfie at the airport, but only a few have close contact to local people! I used to spend most of my time in Taiwan together with other local Taiwanese people to learn their language and their culture. The experience was just as amazing as you can imagine.

And this is what traveling is all about.

Interests

❂ I traveled to more than nine countries in Asia since fall 2015 when my
exchange period in Taiwan began. Capturing the places I have been to, is one of my biggest interests. The camera I use is a Sony Alpha 7II. I am taking stills since when I was 15 years old.

❂ Love cars, especially Tesla, Audi and Lexus - I love driving cars - I love driving bikes. I own a very good Bergamont racing bike and a Kettler mountain bike. So lucky, that I am living in Germany, the only country in the world with unlimited speed limit :P, just kidding, I drive really carefully.

❂ I played badminton for four years when I was younger. I can still play though and I enjoy! Going to the gym is also fun!

❂ Some friends would say I am a typical Asian guy: I am such a computer freak and I love everything which has a CPU inside! haha

Music, Movies, and Books

❂ Books:
I feel really ashamed to say that I never really read real novels. I never started by myself nor did someone guided me to this (probably) great world.
BUT, I always enjoyed reading non-fiction-books about ever topic on the world and I still love to learn about everything which seems interesting to me. It might sound strange but I am basically interested in almost everything (well, with a focus on technical stuff). Some examples: cars, planes, aeronautics, astronomy and so on...

❂ Movies:
I love all Ghibli movies, Spirited Away is my favourite one!
My favourite non-animatic movie is Star Wars.

❂ Music:
Since I am learning chinese now, I just start listening to mandarin and cantonese music. I enjoy 林俊傑 (JJLin), 李榮浩 and 周杰倫 (Jay Chou).
I also like to listen to Chopin, Beethoven, Liszt, Debussy (favourite).....I played Piano a while ago..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

❂ Applied for an exchange year at National Taiwan University, got accepted and had the best year of my life! This AMAZING thing cannot be described with words....sorry!

Teach, Learn, Share

❂ German, Vietnamese and English language! My Chinese is pretty decent now so I would also dare to teach very basic Chinese :P
