Hey Folks,

I'm Sahin and I have travelled from Germany, Europe to visit the United States. The last time i was in the States was 6 years ago and during that, I didn't have the opportunity to see New York, Washington DC or anywhere in the West Coast. I have only been to Ann Arbor and Detroit in MI, and to Chicago, IL. This time I am just for vacation and sightseeing here.

Originally, I am from Istanbul, Turkey. I have been living in Germany for the past 4.5 years. I went there to continue my graduate studies, namely the autonomous driving field of mechanical engineering. After I graduated from master, I decided to continue with a ph.d.

I plan to visit quite a lot places. I have listed them with dates below for brevity:
* Between July 7-11 in New York City, NY
* Between July 11-12 in Washington DC
* Between July 13-16 in San Francisco, CA
* Between July 17-19 in Mountain View, CA
* On July 20 in Santa Barbara, CA
* On July 21 in San Diego, CA
* Between July 21-24 in Los Angeles, CA
* On July 18 in New York City, NY
* Between July 26-27 in Cambridge, MA
* Between July 28-31 in New York City, NY

In fact, I already have some friends and accommodation in some of the places above. But, I am not just searching for a host who can provide me a couch but rather someone to talk with, to exchange some ideas and indeed to have fun with. The focus of my trip is not just sightseeing, I've came here also to meet new people. Otherwise, I just simply could stay at a hostel/motel etc. Therefore, even if you don't have any couch, please to don't hesitate to contact me.

I guess, I have to write a couple of more words on myself: I see myself as a pretty uncomplicated person. I enjoy speaking on anything (not just engineering!! ;) We can speak on world politics, music, history etc. May be you can tell me more about USA and I can tell you about Europe, Turkey and so on...

Music: i hear almost anytype of music. But to be more specific, i listen to either progressive electronic or indie. My favorites are: Steve Angello, Axwell, Moby, Arcade Fire, David Guetta, Alesso, Sebastian Ingrosso, Hans Zimmer, Madonna, Groove Armada, Calvin Harris, Paul Oakenfold, Guns N' Roses, Iron Maiden, Daft Punk, Florence and the Machine, Flight Facilities.

Books: unfortunately mostly engineering books, which i even don't want to mention here! But, if i should list a couple, then the books of Erics Hobsbawm, Glenn Meade, Dan Brown, Adam Fawer, JRR Tolkien, İlber Ortayli Ienjoy most.
