I'm a master student in physics from Québec, the french part of Canada. To me, physics is about being curious about the world, asking questions and exploring, and that's the spirit that also drives me to explore new countries, meet interesting people and take interest in their culture, history and traditions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The experience I'm seeking from traveling is to get to know the local culture, how is life in this place or that one, discover local gastronomy (i like eating), etc. Thus I don't fancy too much the tourist-kind-of-stuff (although seeing main attractions can be enjoyable), and would much rather sit with locals around a beer, a glass of wine, or a scotch, at least before exploring a bit on my own. I wish to share my experience of my previous/current travels and meet new friends!

Interests

I'm interested in sciences, but also art, music, history, philosophy, politics, litterature, and so on. I enjoy reading, my current highlights being Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Plutarch, Nietzsche and Game of Thrones (maybe not the same category haha). I'm trying to start reading italian litterature, which I'm begining to understand as my italian improves. I like outdoor sports, mainly to go around, such as hiking, climbing, and plan to start doing bike trips. I also like cooking, and take interest especially in things I don't know (yet) about ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be happy to teach French or playing the piano (or anything else I could share...). I wish to learn Russian, Italian and German, improve my guitar playing skills and discover something new.
