About Me

Hey there :)
I'm Juan, I'm a recently graduated civil engineer from Colombia living in lovely Munich, Germany for around 2.5 years. I'm a travel enthusiast/ language nerd, who wants to discover the world and on the way meeting people from all different backgrounds, customs, ways of living.

I consider myself a sort of ambassador of my country and I will do my best to let know what it has to offer so that you wanna book the next flight available to Colombia and explore the nature and culture you would encounter over there. Also, after some time living in Munich, I can give you some recommendations of what to visit while you're here.

Aside from that, I like having rather deep conversations about almost every topic: from history to sports (especially soccer, and biking, e.g. Tour de France, Giro d'Italia), to politics and religion. Also, I have one or two funny anecdotes to tell from previous traveling experiences.

You might find me a bit introvert at the beginning (particularly for Southamerican standards), I just need a couple of minutes to break the ice, but once that's over we might end up talking for hours non-stop.

So anyway, I'm looking forward to either hosting you or meeting you at your hometown :)
P.S: I´M FULLY VACCINATED

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After being absent for a while to focus on my studies...... and a certain virus you might have heard of; I'm back here in the Couchsurfing world eager to gather more great experiences and meeting other places and people. From my previous experiences I've found that when traveling alone, you have certain liberty to let yourself go with the flow and let the hosts guide you and you end up feeling like you have really visited the place, and not just taking some pictures of buildings and food.
