About Me

Hello😊

I'm Jisoo from South Korea. I'm 22 years old. Right now, I'm an exchange student in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Ich bin Jisoo Jung, 22 Jahre alt. Ich komme aus SüdKorea. Ich bin Austauschstudenten, studiere ab Februar an der Karlshochschle, im Karlsruhe.

I'm from Ulsan, which is located near Busan, but my university is in Seoul.

My family is dad, mom, two older sisters, and one younger brother. Quite many haha. According to Korean old saying, 3rd daughter (like me) is the most beautiful and get married well. I don't know why, but it's 100% true!!!🙋

In Korea, I live with my two sisters and my kitty in Seoul. After this semester, I go back to Seoul at the end of July. Before I go back, I'm planning to travel Germany, France, Switzerland, Chzech, Netherland, England, Italy, Spain. As you can see, I love traveling!!

My major is English literature in my home uni, and I am interested in various cultures. I decide to choose Germany as an exchange country, because I am interested in europian cultures and I know that Germany is gorgeous country, and also it has good location for traveling.

Since I'm exchange student, my parents helped me a lot to study in Germany by monetary problem. Also I had a part time job in café for 1 year and saved some money. I enjoyed my experience in café, because I enjoy meeting new people and chating with them. I worked at Coffeebean.korea for 3 months, but I couldn’t talk with customers, and employees, so I moved my work to individual café. I often meet my employees and chat with them a lot. That experience makes me friendly and positive. Also it explains that I'm a very outgoing person. I'm very positive and outgoing person, so I think you and I could get along well.

I try to be flexible vegeterian. 3-4 days a week, I'm vegeterian.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm planning to travel as many countries as possible before I go back to Korea. Also I want to experience the REAL Europian culture by couchsurfing. I think it is cool idea to meet various people from other countries. I like to meet new people, and hang out with them. How nice to meet locals in each city!🤗

Interests

I love animals. I have a dog in my home town, and I have a cat in Seoul. I miss them a lot🐶🐱
And when I was young, I had rabbits, guinea pigs, and Iguanas. Once, I wanted to be vet.

I love yoga, and jogging.

I want to find my future goal. I don't know what to do;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm in Theater club called Kyunghee English Theater Club. I was the club leader. Also I was an actress of 2 plays; Miss Firecracker Contest(by Beth Henley), and All My Sons (by Arthur Miller). I was really the characters of those plays. It seemed like I was another person. It was my best time ever when the curtain call starts and everyone applause!! Can you imagine?

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking. I become independent from my parents 4 years ago, so usually I cook myself. I can cook you Korean food if you want! I think cooking foods for someone is really friendly thing to get closer each other. It will be nice if we could share our traditional food each other!
Drinking beer or wine could be cool👍

Also I can tell you my stories😝
