Hi! My name is Stephanie Burd, but all my friends just call me Burd! I live in San Francisco and if you are reading this, HELLO, thank you for stopping by, I'm grateful for you and I love you :)! Let me tell you a little about me, I spend most of my time playing music. I'm in a band and it is my greatest passion! I aspire to be able to travel the world while playing music on the way. My instruments are guitar, drums, and vocals. I also own a radical red van that has been turned into a cozy house on the inside. I use it for summertime traveling and adventures and one day, I will use it for a music tour! Last summer I lived out of my van with my best friend and traveled across the pacific northwest of the United States over the course of two months! It was an incredible journey and this summer I'm looking forward to my next adventure. This is the first time I am going to be traveling across the world by myself. I have never been to Europe (outside of my homeland Russia) and I can't wait to explore a part of the world that is new to me! I want you to be my groo0o0oOovy new friend!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I am traveling to Europe this summer and would like to meet new people and make new friends! It takes a special type of a kind person to offer their home as a safe space to a stranger and those are the kind hearted people I would love to begin a friendship with :) I am brand new to couch surfers. I just opened this account only a couple weeks ago and I have not actually met anybody through the site yet. I am so excited to meet nice people all over the world and I will probably use couch surfers for my whole life ahead! When I get back home to San Francisco, I hope to host travelers in my home as well :)

Interests

The guitar, drums, singing, playing in a band! Drawing, collaging, photography (I uploaded a few of my collages in the photos!). TRAVELING! I love the outdoors, I love more than anything to be in the nature. I don't care about the weather. I think everything the earth has to offer it beautiful. I love the rain, the sun, the clouds, the warm and the cold, the light and the dark. Lets go camping :) Let's enjoy life's grand adventures as well as the small day to day things that make ya smile

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent my 18th birthday living in a Mexican Orphanage at which I volunteered for a week. I spent my time there getting to know the kids and building relationships with them, as well as helping out with manual labor to build new foundations there for school rooms and housing. The orphanage was growing and needed new facilities for the children and all the help they could get! I had the choice of weather I could spend my 18th birthday at a lake camping trip with my friends or volunteering. I chose to volunteer and it was one of the best decisions of could have made because it was a wonderful learning experience and a great way to begin by adulthood!
