Overview
About Me
My home has been in Fort Collins, Colorado for the past 15 years. I left my place there in May 2016 and I am taking some time off to explore the West coast, meet new people, and learn new things. I am especially interested in all things food: growing, harvesting, cooking, preserving and fermentation.
My mode of transportation is my red truck, Champ, which has a homemade camper setup under the cap. All I usually need is a place to park and maybe a shower, so I can be a very low maintenance guest. I have everything I need with me. I'd definitely like to get to know my hosts if their schedules allow, though!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm travelling alone and though I like to camp as much as possible, sometimes I need and/or want to stay in a more urban area. I don't mind doing a little urban camping in my truck, but my rig is more geared for camping and isn't too stealthy. I like sleeping in it, I just sometimes need a safe place to park for the night. Meeting cool hosts is also a huge reason!

Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
I can show you how to make sauerkraut and some other types of fermented foods. Recently I've been experimenting with different techniques. I'd be happy to share my bartending knowledge.
Learn:
I'd love to learn anything food related as mentioned above, also foraging and mushroom identification. I'm most interested in old ways of preparing and preserving food.
Share:
I can make veggie noodles for you in my spiralizer. I usually have all the makings of a killer gin and tonic with me. I'd gladly help prep, cook and clean up for group meals. The truck is typically stocked with fresh produce and small batch goodies from local producers that I enjoy sharing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help with jobs like cleaning, food prep etc. I think I'm pretty good company, easy to get along with. I love to play games and explore. If you live on a farm or homestead, I'd love to help with any related tasks you might be able to use me for.
